About

I’m Dr. Pia, a licensed clinical psychologist who works with adults and couples navigating trauma, relationship distress, infidelity, intimacy and sexual concerns, anxiety, depression, and significant life transitions. My clinical experiences in hospital, community mental health, and specialty treatment settings shaped my commitment to care that is compassionate and clinically rigorous. It also developed my understanding of how psychological and psychiatric care can work together. I help patients understand their treatment options and advocate for themselves with their prescribers. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, highly relational, and tailored to each patient. With a patient’s consent, I collaborate with psychiatrists/prescribers, physicians, and other providers to ensure care is thoughtful, integrated, and aligned with the patient’s goals. I help people examine how their histories, relationships, beliefs, and protective patterns influence their present lives and identify patterns that may once have served a purpose but now interfere with well-being, intimacy, communication, or meaningful change. Patients can expect me to be warm, engaged, and direct. I listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and offer honest feedback with care. I create a space where patients feel understood without judgment while being appropriately challenged to develop greater insight, make intentional choices, strengthen their relationships, and create meaningful change.
